for the first time in many months, i am not bellyaching about the weather — except maybe on rare occasions when it suddenly rains and i happen to have no umbrella with me or when i’m out for a late afternoon walk while wearing a thin shirt.
still, i can’t say that i have much to complain about. frankly, i would rather shiver in the corner than burn and steam under the sun. for one thing, the cool weather has reduced my electrical bill by roughly P400 — although this is probably largely due to the substantial drop in oil prices in the last month or so. naturally, this thrills me no end, and sometimes i wish the weather would stay this way for the rest of the year.
and then there’s the fact that i am now able to wear the thick sweatshirts that have been languishing (aka unused) in my closet for months. my ACU has never had so much R&R. conversely, i seem to be heating up a huge amount of water in the past few weeks, too.
it has the Christmas-y atmosphere. hehe. kainis lang kasi mas mahirap bumangon sa umaga para magtrabaho. hehe.
Posted by mordsith at January 13, 2009, 12:29 pmWhere I live (probinsya kasi, lol)… it’s like fall in the US. It’s cooold. Cold to the point that I have to wear 3 layers just to go to work!
However, this is the best time to go to Tagaytay! Hehe.
Posted by alia at January 14, 2009, 9:26 amyes, wouldn’t it be nice if we had this temperate climate most of the time — it would make a lot of things almost bearable (traffic, pollution, public service systems that rarely work as advertised, etc.) *sigh* for one thing, i’m sure maraming puputi na pinoy hahaha!
it does make it tough to wake up early in the morning though
very cold indeed…onyxx, got new blog.will delete my i.ph for now. hope you’ll visit me there.pls delete my comment after you read this. humor me, pls? tnx.

Wish ko din, ganito weather year-round. Ang lamig sa amin, especially since bulubundukin na amin. Hehehe. I went grocery shopping last weekend and we went out around 6 pm; it took all of my strength and will to not turn back and head home.
