whew! it’s been a while, but i guess there’s just no way i can leave i.Ph for good. i might not be here as often as i wish, but my i.Ph blog is still one of those loose ends that i can’t quite discard…
***********
roughly 80 years after he died, it looks like Vladimir Lenin is finally getting some form of an indirect comeuppance — courtesy of an unidentified vandal(s) who placed a bomb on Lenin’s bronze statue in St. Petersburg, Russia. The blast blew a hole in Lenin’s coat, leaving a gaping opening in the 10-foot statue’s rear end, which strikes an unwittingly funny chord fit for April Fool’s day.
this statue of lenin, one of the most feared and hated man of the 20th century, is a commemoration of the historic speech he gave when he returned to Russia in 1917. Local authorities have announced that plans are underway to restore the monument to its former glory.
yup. i really thought i was out of i.Ph for good, but i kind of missed the scene here. i’d been laying low for a while but i still drop in here from time to time
hey! you’re back!
Lenin’s statue looked so funny. Was it a work of some anti-Marxist group or from a brat who doesn’t know who he really is?
hi mordsith
… i’d been busy with my other site (http://i-onyxx.com)
re lenin’s “attackers” — who knows? it just seems ironic and funny that this had to happen in russia, and on april fools day, too
Hi! I haven’t been visiting OR blogging in a long while. Anyway, I understand what you said about not leaving i.ph. I can’t seem to post anything these days but I don’t want to close down the blog.
The people here are nice and the layouts are kinda cool too. I love it here and I’ll post something soon, but I have something new. Click my name.
